For the further development of the Austrian Billiards sport it is very important to be a part of these traditional tournament series. Therefore it is my honour to cordially welcome the players and officials who participate in the tournament in Austria and wish them a nice stay and a lot of success in the competition. In the name of the Austrian Snooker and Billiards Association I thank the tournament's organisation team and the HSEBC Vienna for all their hard work. |

4 Nations Patronage
The Austrian minister for national defense and sport Mag. Norbert Darabos took over the patronage of the 2009 4 Nations tournament. He also contributed a nice trophy for the winning team.

As the sporting director for English Billiards in the Austrian Snooker & Billiards Association (ÖSBV) I'm very pleased to be a part of the organising team of this important tournament. I can only emphazise that to hold this event in Vienna is another great chance for Austrian Billiards to manifest its place on the European Billiards-firmament together with three countries where Billiards is absolutely one of the most popular sports, very different to the Billiards scene in Austria. |

I would like to take this opportunity to wish the Austrian Team and all involved in the organisation of this tournament, very best wishes for the weekend. It will be a proud occasion for Austria to host this event for the first time and from experience I know they will make a wonderful success of doing so. I will be monitoring events closely on the tournament website and look forward to seeing the continuing progess made by the Austrian players. |

England will as usual be a very hard team to beat, however i am sure the competition will be fierce - but fair, and off course the 'crac' excellant. Heres to a successfull event and to the continued growth of this fantastic tournament.
